Intro

DUE TO THREATS ON MYSELF AND MY FAMILY I WILL NO LONGER BE ON REDDIT OR DOING ANYTHING FOR SKYRIMVR. MY REDDIT ACCOUNT IS DELETED AND WILL NOT BE MAKING ANOTHER ONE, TAKE CARE EVERYONE AND HAPPY MODDING

Graphics mods are extremely subjective so this is just my personal preference on what I like, I also pick based on my fog of war weather which makes it always overcast or bad weather in the game. So if something looks really off might be due to the sunlight affecting the lighting but let me know if something really looks wrong. I will be going over my current load order and options for several mods when installing them. If I didn’t mention an option I probably just used the default. If you are brand new to modding I’d recommend starting with my  Absolute Beginner Video Series.

I just want to re-iterate this list is NOT for people brand new to modding Skyrim. Watch my video series linked just above if you are.

For installing mods use MO2.. use THIS great guide to learn the basics ( I do cover most the basics in my absolute beginner video) .. Vortex and NMM are not recommended for my guides as the auto sorting feature of Vortex will cause issues and dealing with this many texture overlaps is a nightmare with vortex. Also with MO2 when installing optional files or patches to a mod make sure to use the MERGE option and not the replace option. I won't provide support for Vortex users sorry.

My system is a 1080ti, 7700k, 16gb DDR4 3200mhz ram. SSD, Windows 10. I use 1.4 SS in OTT(same as 200% in steamVR) on an Oculus Rift. Obviously, for people with lower-end systems, your mileage will vary in terms of performance, but through the guide, I'll mention the more performance heavy mods. Most textures I use are 2k as 4k in VR tends to add a lot of noise to the texture(makes it shimmer a lot especially in armors/clothing). So if a mod has choices for texture size and I didn’t mention what I chose it probably is 2k. The guide is split up into 6 sections but it was written in order of how I installed them.

Just wanted to add in a word on ENBs.. I have tried the latest version with about 30 different presets and even made my own. It does look good for some things but performance hit was just to much for me to warrant using it. Even with almost all the features disabled I still get pretty big hit. Now if you don’t have many mods and have plenty of performance headroom than yea may be worth it but for me just was to much of a drop. On top of that, I found it would look good with some weather conditions and not so much with others just ended up being to much of a hassle to be worth it IMHO. With the mods in this list and imaginator to tweak colors, I find ENB really isn’t needed.

This guide was intended for use with a new game, the world textures shouldn’t cause any issues installing mid play but some of the location overhauls will not work right if added mid game.

First, for the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (can grab from my Discord in downloads or https://gofile.io/?c=GUrPtw)..The USSEP VR Fixes is completely irrelevant so don't download that. And make sure NOT to use the version on nexus it will break aspects of your game but an older version works fine.

Since SkyUI fully implemented for VR i’d highly recommend getting SKSEVR and SkyUI. Be sure to read the information towards the bottom of the SKYUI download page it goes over the controls for sorting items in your inventory. For installation instructions on this you can check my beginner guide linked above.. Skip to just over one hour in and i cover it.

I would also grab SSE FIXES. This first requires DLL Plugin loader so make sure you read the description on how to install that. Then MAKE SURE to get the VR download for SSE fixes. This basically helps a bug that can occur that greatly reduces your FPS when you hit a certain number of mods.

This list has many overlapping mods so they need to be installed in the order I list them to get the correct effect. I tried to cover all install options I choose if I missed one or anyone has question on that let me know. Also, a couple of the texture mods are from Oldrim nexus they will work fine in SSE/VR version as well

Also wanted to note if using LOOT ..seriously save yourself the headaches and don’t rely on LOOT with my lists. Many of my files are edited and LOOT will not put them in the correct place.

I haven't been able to fully test the DLC stuff so anything that looks off on that let me know and i'll try to fix it.

Be sure to enable mods in MO2 as you install them or your ordering will NOT be correct

While this guide is mostly straight vanilla texture replacements I do have several mods that add new things to the game but overall that is minimal so people can use whatever extra things they prefer.

If I mention a patch in the comments it means get the MAIN file then whatever patch I mention. Also I know many of these mods might have other compatibility patches for other mods in this list. DO NOT use those I have my own edits and patches in place already with any custom ESP links I provide.

Oh also section 2 doesn't seem to load on mobile browser but works fine on desktop.
